Comparison of observed and predicted divergence and vorticity of the Earth surface. The observed divergence and vorticity are obtained from plate tectonic model of Gordon and Jurdy[1986] and the predicted divergence and vorticity are obtained by convection model with continental regions having 60 times higher viscosity than oceainc regions. Contour intervals: 1.e-8 rad/yr.
